IMPORTANT NOTE: This is the Democrat candidate who is trying to flip a U.S. Congress seat from red to blue in a special election behind held next Tuesday, December 2.
From the Daily Caller: Democratic Tennessee congressional candidate Aftyn Behn sobbed and screamed at the top of her lungs as security removed her from Republican Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee’s office in resurfaced footage from April 2019.
Behn and other women with the activist group, Enough is Enough-Tennessee, staged a sit-in inside the state capitol and demanded to speak to Lee about calling for the resignation of the then-Republican state Rep. David Byrd, who was accused of sexual misconduct at the time. The women, including Behn, tried to rush into the governor’s office when the doors were open on April 17, 2019, prompting security to remove her from the premises.
Footage posted by NewsChannel 5 Nashville shows security dragging Behn out of the office as she screamed at the top of her lungs. She then sat on her knees and sobbed on the floor.
State troopers warned that the women would be arrested if they did not leave the building, prompting several of them to follow orders. However, Behn and a few others remained in the building and were soon arrested.

In a separate incident about a month later, Behn created a ruckus and derailed a session in the Tennessee state legislature by screaming down at the chamber and calling for Byrd to resign. For that stunt, she was forcibly removed from the chamber.
Now Behn wants to serve in the U.S. Congress, and is running against Republican candidate Matt Van Epps, a former commissioner for Lee, to serve in the seat vacated by former GOP Rep. Mark Greene, who resigned in July.
A radical progressive, Behn unseated the “establishment” Democrat Rep. to win a Tennessee state House seat in 2023, and declared last month that if elected to U.S. Congress, she will not support House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries as speaker.
Behn is running to represent the district that includes Nashville, Tennessee. But a recording has recently surfaced where she claims she literally hates the place.
“I hate the city, I hate the bachelorettes, I hate the pedal taverns, I hate country music, I hate all of the things that make Nashville. I hate it,” Behn says in the recording.
