FROM NBC NEWS: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., who was once one of President Donald Trump’s most vocal supporters, said Saturday that she’s facing threats following the president’s criticism of her on social media.
Greene’s revelation comes after Trump attacked Greene in post on social media and rescinded his endorsement of her, calling her “wacky” and accusing her of complaining too much. The president also suggested he could back a primary challenger against her.
The White House and U.S. Capitol Police didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment on Greene’s social media posts.
“I am now being contacted by private security firms with warnings for my safety as a hot bed of threats against me are being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world. The man I supported and helped get elected,” Greene claimed in a post on X on Saturday.
“As a Republican, who overwhelmingly votes for President Trump‘s bills and agenda, his aggression against me which also fuels the venomous nature of his radical internet trolls (many of whom are paid), this is completely shocking to everyone,” she added.

On Saturday morning, President Trump took to his Truth Social account to repeatedly target Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has grown sharply critical of him in recent weeks.
In one post, Trump accused Greene of “betraying” her party through her attacks. In another, he branded her a “traitor” and a “disgrace” to Republicans.
Trump wrote:
“Lightweight Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Brown (Green grass turns Brown when it begins to ROT!), betrayed the entire Republican Party when she turned Left, performed poorly on the pathetic View, and became the RINO that we all know she always was. Just another Fake politician, no different than Rand Paul Jr. (Thomas Massie), who got caught being a full fledged Republican In Name Only (RINO)! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
He also wrote:
“Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Green is a disgrace to our GREAT REPUBLICAN PARTY!”
Greene’s rift with the GOP and the president has deepened lately, including her latest rebuke of his emphasis on international matters and her demand that he refocus on his “America First” priorities.
