Dr. Mehmet Oz, the head of Medicare and Medicaid Services, gave an update on the man who collapsed in the Oval Office on Thursday, saying he is doing “much better” after fainting on live television last night.

The unnamed man was attending a meeting at the White House, where President Donald J. Trump announced a deal between the government and weight-loss drug manufacturers.

When the unnamed man’s knees buckled, Dr. Oz and others raced to to help, with the good doctor himself preventing the man from hitting floor.

“One little tip,” Dr. Oz said, reflecting on the incident. “If you see someone whose knees are beginning to buckle and their eyes are going back, don’t watch what happens.

“These folks will actually get hurt worse by the fall than by dealing with the underlying condition.

“So give the person a bear hug, even if you don’t know them, guide them to the floor gently.”

Dr. Oz says that he has since checked in with the businessman.

“He is doing much better,” he told Newsmax. “I actually just corresponded with him so he’s doing okay.”

Dr. Oz also praised president Trump for his part in the drama. He said that he was updating the unnamed man’s wife when the president asked if he could have a word with her. Dr. Oz said Trump was able to comfort the woman.

“He’s just a wonderful human being that he would take time,” Dr. Oz said. “He could have done off and done 10 other things but he actually cared that the wife of a man that he’s never met before felt in a safer place.”
