From Fox Business: Multiple people were injured Tuesday after a UPS plane crashed near Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) in Kentucky.
The Louisville Metro Police Department confirmed its officers, along with multiple other agencies, are responding to reports of a plane crash near Fern Valley Road and Grade Lane, near the UPS Worldport.
Police said multiple people were injured. It is unclear if there were any fatalities.
UPDATE: According to WDRB.com, the plane was trying to take off from the Louisville airport. It was headed for Honolulu, Hawaii, and therefore was loaded with fuel.
A video posted on Facebook shows the moment of the crash. As the plane is trying to take off, a huge fire is seen on the left wing. The plane crashes, flipping over as it hits the ground, and erupts into a massive ball of fire.
UPS has stated there were three crew members on board the plane.
The Louisville Police Department announced:
LMPD and multiple other agencies are responding to reports of a plane crash near Fern Valley and Grade Lane. Grade lane will be closed indefinitely between Stooges and Crittenden. Injuries reported.

UPS Flight 2976 crashed around 5:15 p.m. local time on Tuesday, Nov. 4, after departing from Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport in Kentucky. The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 was headed to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu. The FAA and NTSB will investigate. The NTSB will lead the investigation and will provide all updates. This information is preliminary and subject to change.
