WATCH: Campaign rally for Muslim mayor candidate is all in foreign language

Mainstream media has focused almost entirely on the heated New York City mayoral race, where Democrat Socialist muslim candidate Zohran Mamdani, born in Uganda, is the front runner.

However, a very similar situation is playing out in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where another Democrat Socialist muslim candidate, Omar Fateh, the son of Somali immigrants, is one of the top Democrats trying to unseat current Democrat mayor Jacob Frey.

Somali refugee Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), who has endorsed Fateh, spoke at multiple campaign rallies on Sunday, in an effort to help Fateh win the election.

A video was shared on social media Monday, as Omar spoke at a campaign event for Fateh, and not a single sentence was spoken in English.

Instead, the event is all in the Somali language.

Townhall columnist Dustin Grage wrote, “The real problem with immigration in the U.S. is that too many refuse to assimilate to American culture. Here is an event from yesterday for Omar Fateh, not a single sentence spoken in English.”

Newsmax host Rob Schmitt commented, “Immigrants once were proud to assimilate. The respect for our culture and what our ancestors built is completely gone. Pure entitlement.”

Conservatives are reacting in disgust.

X user Lee Kennedy wrote, “This is disgraceful but it does not surprise me because Islamist groups never ever assimilate in any country that accepts them.”

“When they don’t assimilate, it isn’t immigration, it’s an invasion,” one X user wrote.

X user Julie D. warned, “Lack of assimilation will be the downfall of our country unless we deal with it now. Our ancestors were thrilled to assimilate but also were given time to do so. This mass infiltration has made it impossible for them to find any common ground and start feeling American.”

The same day, Omar spoke at another campaign rally for Fateh, where English was spoken.

“I could not be prouder to support @OmarFatehMN. Our city needs a leader who will transform Minneapolis and make it work for everyone — not just the wealthy and well-connected. Let’s build a city that works for all of us. Vote Omar Fateh,” she wrote, sharing the video.

In another video posted by Fateh, Omar pumps her fists at the crowd as they chant for their Muslim candidate, Omar Fateh.

On Tuesday, Fateh gloated:

Let’s elect a progressive mayor.
Let’s elect a progressive city council.
Let’s elect a progressive park board.

This is our chance to build progressive power. 💪🏾

AND of course a progressive Board of Estimate and Taxation.
