Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former prosecutor, TV host, and longtime Trump ally, was sworn in Tuesday as the U.S. ambassador to Greece.
Guilfoyle presented her credentials to Greek President Constantine Tassoulas after being sworn in Sept. 29 in Washington, becoming the first woman to serve as U.S. ambassador to Greece. The former fiancée of Trump Jr. attended a black-tie welcome reception in Athens over the weekend, joining a traditional Greek dance with guests alongside Cabinet members and business leaders.
“I know we will do amazing things for these two exceptional countries,” she told attendees. “I will not disappoint the United States of America. I shall not disappoint Greece.”

According to the report, Guilfoyle presented her credentials on Tuesday, following the presentation of credentials by new ambassadors from Canada’s Sonya Thissen and Norway’s Harriet Berg. Previously, during her Senate confirmation hearing, she vowed to be a strong advocate for U.S. interests, strengthen defense ties, expand energy cooperation, and counter the growing influence of China and Turkey.
The U.S. has been working to boost liquefied natural gas exports to Eastern Europe via Greek ports. Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum will visit Athens this week to discuss expanding gas exports to Ukraine through a modified multinational pipeline. Guilfoyle is also scheduled to meet with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and attend the Atlantic Council’s ministerial meetings.
