NEWS ALERT: Progressives Eye Takeover Of Deep Red States With Deep-Pocketed Plan

From the Daily Caller: A memo from a progressive candidate recruitment organization shows that Democrats are looking beyond the “blue wall” and are ready to spend millions to challenge Republican states in the 2028 general election.

The donor memo from Run for Something, originally shared with Politico, asks for $50 million to execute a five-year plan to make up for lost ground as every state shifted more red in the 2024 presidential election.

However, instead of following the typical protocol of focusing on their base while winning over independents, the memo lays out a strategy for finding and training Gen Z and millennial candidates in a dozen states outside the Democratic stronghold of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, which didn’t even make the list of potential targets.

The memo focuses on purple states, such as Arizona, North Carolina, Ohio and Georgia, and crimson red states like Utah, Nebraska, Iowa, Idaho, Texas, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Run For Something shared a link to the Politico report about their efforts to take over more states, and touted, “We’re launching a bold new plan to recruit young, diverse Democrats and Independents to run where power’s been left on the table.

“This isn’t about winning in one election — it’s about doing the work to win in the next 10. The next generation isn’t waiting for permission. Join the movement. Run for office.”

The group has been posting announcements of the many young radical progressives now running for office. In one post, the group announced:

312 endorsed this year.
51.6% are people of color.
48.4% are women.
All are the future. 🌟
We’re not waiting for representation — we’re building it.
