Trust in God’s Promises

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

— Psalm 42:11

(Written by Kat L.)

When life throws us curveballs and we feel like we’re drowning, we can always count on God to save us! He’s our rock, our strength, and our source of unwavering love.

Discouragement can come from many places—failures, disappointments, or just feeling overwhelmed. When we are feeling this way, we can find comfort in God’s Word. It reminds us of His faithfulness and His promises, which give us hope for the future.

God is always there to help us when we need Him, and His love and grace are more than enough for us (Psalm 46:1-11; 2 Corinthians 12:9).

Dear Father in Heaven, thank You for Your holy Word. We can turn to it to find comfort, guidance, and hope. When we’re feeling discouraged, may we turn to You. Fill our hearts with the strength we can only find in communion with You. We pray this in Jesus’ name, AMEN
