SPIRIT EMPOWERED WORDS

And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.

1 Corinthians 2:4

Paul glorified God through the Holy Spirit, preaching and teaching abut Jesus Christ. He taught the Word of God simply, not as an intellectual but as a humble shepherd.

He taught believers to become all things to all men. He preached the simplicity of the cross using words demonstrating the Holy Spirit’s power. The word “demonstration” means “legal proof” or “presentable to the courts.” Paul’s powerful preaching came from the Lord, given by the Spirit of God.

Our words must be inspired by the Holy Spirit. Without inspiration, we have nothing to say; we’re just copying someone else. Our message should center on the cross of Jesus Christ, the most important part of the Gospel. But we also need them to become spiritual men and women.

Dear God, thank You for Your wisdom. Grant us hearts that seek You, that keep our mouths pure, and that keep us from spreading negativity. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN.
