From DAILY MAIL: The family of the truck driver allegedly attacked by Mark Sanchez have revealed he is recovering well despite gruesome photos of his injuries emerging online.

Sanchez, a former NFL quarterback and Fox TV analyst, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries of his own early Saturday morning after being stabbed in a dispute with the driver near Loughmiller’s Pub & Eatery in downtown Indianapolis.

However, the 38-year-old was also arrested by Indianapolis police for battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication after the shocking bust-up.

According to TMZ Sports, Sanchez was released from the hospital on Sunday and then sent to jail to be processed over the fight he is accused of starting.

“His family says he was cut in the fight and it went through his cheek and hit his tongue,” Fox59 anchor Angela Ganote said.

The driver is “OK,” according to a statement the family made to the New York Post.

“We are talking to lawyers first. We want to be careful what’s said. We appreciate that,” they reportedly said.

Ganote posted an image of the affidavit for probable cause. In it, Sanchez is accused of trying to prevent the driver from completing his job, changing out the oil in a restaurant.
