President Donald Trump had given the Hamas terror group a deadline of 6:00 p.m. ET to release all remaining hostages and agree to a peace deal with Israel, or be prepared to DIE.
Hamas released a statement Friday, saying they will release all hostages, and agreed to part of the peace deal, but said further negotiations are needed.
Sunday evening, Trump announced in a new statement that positive discussions are underway, and the final details will be worked out on Monday.
However, he warned that if this deal doesn’t move FAST, there will be “massive bloodshed.”
Trump’s statement reads:
There have been very positive discussions with Hamas, and Countries from all over the World (Arab, Muslim, and everyone else) this weekend, to release the Hostages, end the War in Gaza but, more importantly, finally have long sought PEACE in the Middle East.
These talks have been very successful, and proceeding rapidly. The technical teams will again meet Monday, in Egypt, to work through and clarify the final details.
I am told that the first phase should be completed this week, and I am asking everyone to MOVE FAST. I will continue to monitor this Centuries old “conflict.”
TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE OR, MASSIVE BLOODSHED WILL FOLLOW — SOMETHING THAT NOBODY WANTS TO SEE!
Earlier Sunday morning, Democrat Sen. John Fetterman (PA), who has stood firm in his support of Israel ever since the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas massacre, wrote on X, “Good morning to everyone except all the protesters who aren’t protesting for Hamas to accept the peace deal.”

.@SecRubio on the Hamas response to President Trump’s peace plan: “They have said, basically, that they agree to his proposal and the framework for releasing the hostages. That’s an enormous achievement… There’s a lot of international pressure on Hamas to make this happen.” pic.twitter.com/WkSJ41qEiD
