UPDATE: Trump responds after Hamas accepts part of peace deal

President Trump responded on social media Monday evening, after the Hamas terror group finally conceded that they will accept some of the conditions laid out in a peace proposal.

On Monday, the White House released a 20-point plan hammered out between President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Qatar Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, in an effort to end the war between Hamas and Israel.

Hamas first declared they were rejecting the entire proposal. However, Trump then blasted out a “last chance” warning, saying if Hamas did not agree to peace and hand over the remaining hostages by 6:00 p.m. Sunday, they should be prepared to DIE.

Suddenly, Hamas changed their tune. In a statement, the group announced they are agreeing to:

  • Release ALL Israeli hostages, dead and alive
  • Hand over Gaza administration to ‘Palestinian body of independents’
  • Further negotiate details of the plan

President Trump then announced on Truth Social:

Based on the Statement just issued by Hamas, I believe they are ready for a lasting PEACE.

Israel must immediately stop the bombing of Gaza, so that we can get the Hostages out safely and quickly! Right now, it’s far too dangerous to do that.

We are already in discussions on details to be worked out. This is not about Gaza alone, this is about long sought PEACE in the Middle East.

The president also released a video message from the Oval Office, thanking the countries who helped him put together the 20-point peace proposal that he released earlier this week.

Trump mentioned Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan, and said there were many others involved as well.
