FROM DAILY MAIL: Tears poured down the face of a former elementary school teacher who admitted in court that she had sexually abused an 11-year-old boy in her class.

Madison Bergmann, 25, was a soon-to-be-married teacher at River Crest Elementary School in Hudson, Wisconsin, until the father of the fifth-grade boy caught her abusing his son.

Bergmann pleaded guilty to one count of child enticement and two counts of sexual misconduct by school staff at the plea hearing on September 29.

In court footage, Bergman struggled to keep her composure as the judge announced a potential 18-year imprisonment. Notably, the judge momentarily halted the proceedings due to Bergmann’s inadvertent tearful response into the microphone.

The sex offender had several charges dismissed, including first-degree sexual assault of a child, exposing a child to harmful descriptions, using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, and additional counts of sexual misconduct by school staff and child enticement.

Bergmann’s sentencing is expected to be on December 22.

In disturbing twist, there was a separate incident at the same school. A second fifth-grade teacher, Abigail Faust, was also charged with sexual crimes against a student. She and Bergmann were reportedly friends who exchanged texts about their relationships with students.
