It appears New Yorkers are about to vote for a Muslim Democrat Socialist who was born in Uganda to be their next mayor, as no candidate running for office is even coming close in the polls.
Current mayor Eric Adams finally withdrew from the race on Sunday, but pollsters warn this still won’t be enough to help either former Gov. Andrew Cuomo or Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa to beat Mamdani.
Many conservatives are viewing Mamdani’s rise as another city fallen to the ‘Islamic takeover’ that may never be recovered.
President Donald Trump is taking the approach that Mamdani is going to destroy America’s largest city so badly that it will actually be a boost to the Republican party. Trump is also threatening to withhold federal funds from New York City.
In a Truth Social post Monday morning, President Trump wrote:
Self proclaimed New York City Communist, Zohran Mamdani, who is running for Mayor, will prove to be one of the best things to ever happen to our great Republican Party.
He is going to have problems with Washington like no Mayor in the history of our once great City. Remember, he needs the money from me, as President, in order to fulfill all of his FAKE Communist promises. He won’t be getting any of it, so what’s the point of voting for him?
