From WashingtonExaminer: President Donald Trump is expected to speak at the meeting of top U.S. military leaders this Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has called for a meeting of hundreds of senior military leaders in Quantico, Virginia this week. President Trump will be giving a speech before the meeting of admirals and generals, per various media reports.

The purpose of the special meeting, which is expected to include officials coming from overseas, is still unclear. Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell told the Washington Examiner on Thursday Hegseth “will be addressing his senior military leaders early next week.”

“It’s really just a very nice meeting talking about how well we’re doing militarily, talking about being in great shape, talking about a lot of good, positive things. It’s just a good message,” Trump told NBC News in a phone call. “We have some great people coming in and it’s just an ‘esprit de corps.’ You know the expression ‘esprit de corps’? That’s all it’s about. We’re talking about what we’re doing, what they’re doing, and how we’re doing.”

Hegseth summoned hundreds of senior military leaders stationed worldwide for a meeting of the Pentagon’s top brass at Quantico Marine Corps Base in Virginia. The event will host thousands of military members, including the top brass, their aides, and security.

The Secret Service will secure the event, according to the Washington Post.
