President Donald Trump voiced his outrage over a horrific murder in Dallas, Texas last week, when an illegal alien from Cuba with an extensive criminal record attacked and beheaded a hotel manager, who was reportedly a legal immigrant from India.
The killing happened on Wednesday, the same day that conservative activist Charlie Kirk was killed in Utah.
According to a report by NBC-DFW, the victim, identified as Chandra Nagamallaiah, had managed the hotel for two or three years. NBC explained:
According to an arrest affidavit released Wednesday evening, the man was cleaning a room with a co-worker when the victim approached and informed him not to use a broken washing machine. The co-worker told police the man became upset that the victim was speaking to her to translate instead of talking directly to him.
“Video shows the suspect then exited the motel room and produced a machete from his person and started cutting and stabbing the complainant multiple times,” the affidavit states.
The victim, yelling for help, ran toward his wife and son, who were working in the motel office. The son tried hitting the attacker with a bat, but the attacker, identified as 37-year-old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, continued stabbing until he completely decapitated Nagamallaiah.
Cobos-Martinez then kicked the head out into the parking lot, picked it up and threw it into the dumpster, and then tried to flee the scene. When police caught him soon after, Cobos-Martinez was still wearing a blood-soaked shirt, and armed with the machete, along with Nagamallaiah’s key card and cell phone.

Public records link Cobos-Martinez to crimes in Houston, California and Florida. He’s charged with capital murder and has been placed on an ICE hold at the Dallas County Jail. Records show he is a Cuban national.
In a post on Truth Social Sunday night, President Trump wrote:
I am aware of the terrible reports regarding the murder of Chandra Nagamallaiah, a well respected person in Dallas, Texas, who was brutally beheaded, in front of his wife and son, by an ILLEGAL ALIEN from Cuba who should have never been in our Country.
This individual was previously arrested for terrible crimes, including child sex abuse, grand theft auto, and false imprisonment, but was released back into our Homeland under incompetent Joe Biden because Cuba did not want such an evil person in their Country.
Rest assured, the time for being soft on these Illegal Immigrant Criminals is OVER under my watch! Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Border Czar Tom Homan, and many others in my Administration, are doing an incredible job in, MAKING AMERICA SAFE AGAIN. This criminal, who we have in custody, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law. He will be charged with murder in the first degree!

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) today announced it lodged a detainer for the federal arrest and removal of a criminal illegal alien from Cuba who was taken into custody by local authorities in Dallas, Texas on homicide charges.
On September 10, Yordanis Cobos-Martinez—an illegal alien from Cuban with a rap sheet including child sex abuse, grand theft of a motor vehicle, false imprisonment and carjacking—was arrested by Dallas Police Department at a motel in Dallas for murder. Cobos-Martinez allegedly used a machete to behead a merchant he had an argument in front of the merchant’s spouse and child. Reportedly, Cobos-Martinez then kicked the head of the victims ‘around like a soccer ball.’ ICE has lodged the detainer with the Dallas County Jail, where this criminal illegal alien is being held.
Yordanis Cobos-Martinez has a past final order of removal to Cuba. He was most recently in ICE Dallas custody at the Bluebonnet Detention Center until he was released on an Order of Supervision on January 13, 2025—under the Biden administration. This barbaric criminal was released because Cuba would not accept him because of his criminal history.
“This vile monster beheaded this man in front of his wife and child and proceeded to kick the victims’ head on the ground. This gruesome, savage slaying of a victim at a motel by Yordanis Cobos-Martinez was completely preventable if this criminal illegal alien was not released into our country by the Biden Administration since Cuba would not take him back,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “This is exactly why we are removing criminal illegal aliens to third countries. President Trump and Secretary Noem are no longer allowing barbaric criminals to indefinitely remain in America. If you come to our country illegally, you could end up in Eswatini, Uganda, South Sudan, or CECOT.”
