VIRTUALLY VILE: Popular online gaming platform address 100+ ‘customizations’ of Charlie Kirk’s murder

Roblox has removed over 100 user-created “experiences” glorifying Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Axios reported.

The gaming platform, already facing a grooming scandal, said it acted swiftly to take down the content targeting its young audience. A Roblox spokesperson said the company moved quickly after spotting content related to Charlie Kirk that violated its platform’s guidelines. In Roblox, an “experience” is a custom game created by users. The spokesperson emphasized that the platform’s rules strictly prohibit content or behavior that re-enacts real-world violent or sensitive events, or promotes terrorism or hate against individuals or groups.

Roblox’s swift action came after Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) condemned a game referencing Charlie Kirk’s assassination and urged Apple to pull Roblox if it wasn’t removed. Luna, a former Turning Point USA staffer, later said Roblox and other platforms fully cooperated within an hour.

Roblox CEO David Baszucki responded to Luna’s concerns, expressing sadness over Kirk’s death and pledging “swift action” against any game experiences that violate the platform’s rules.

Roblox is already under fire over grooming concerns after Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrell sued the company in August, accusing it of failing to protect children. The lawsuit claims Roblox’s weak safety measures let predators “thrive, unite, hunt and victimize kids,” while the platform prioritizes growth and profit over child safety.

Murrill stated, “Due to Roblox’s lack of safety protocols, it endangers the safety of the children of Louisiana. Roblox is overrun with harmful content and child predators because it prioritizes user growth, revenue, and profits over child safety.”
