CONSEQUENCES: Fired DOJ worker learns charge for hurling sandwich at federal agent

1

From Fox News: Sean Charles Dunn, the Justice Department worker fired after being accused of throwing a sandwich at a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent earlier this month, has been charged with a misdemeanor.

Dunn was previously charged with a felony, but a grand jury declined to hand down an indictment.

“I will continue to pursue every avenue available to hold offenders accountable. While this DC grand jury did not return a true bill consistent with the clear wording of the statute on the felony charge in this case, we will not (waver) in our commitment to public safety,” U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro said in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital.

“The defendant will face prosecution on misdemeanor charges, and we will continue to seek the maximum penalties the law allows. The chaos in this district must end.”

Ironically, Dunn was a trial attorney at the Justice Department. Now his DOJ career has gone up in smoke.

The attack was captured on video and posted to Instagram by @bigap4l. Dunn is seen slamming the sandwich into the chest of the officer, then turning and running away like a coward. He was caught and handcuffed.

longer video posted on X shows the moments leading up to the assault, as Dunn screamed at multiple federal agents, calling them “fascists” and yelling, “Shame! Shame!” Finally, he committed the attack that just ended his career.
