As soon as President Donald Trump returned to the Oval Office, his administration went to work to clean up all the woke “diversity, equity and inclusion” [DEI] language and policies that the Biden administration had embedded into every government agency.
However, it appears there’s still some housecleaning left to do.
Investigative journalist Laura Loomer rolled out disturbing information on Tuesday about DEI and pro-China propaganda that has not yet been eliminated at the Department of Defense.
In a pair of posts on X Tuesday morning, Loomer first wrote:
šØ DEI and Pro-China Propaganda is Still Present Inside the DoD šØ
How Department of Defense Training Materials Present Chinese Characters As Superiors Who Influence US Supply Chain Decisions
While President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth @PeteHegseth
are aggressively purging DEI from the DOD @DeptofDefense through executive orders like the January 2025 ban on discriminatory programs and directives to scrub DEI-promoting content from Pentagon materials by March, the rot still lingers in mandatory training materials and courses for defense acquisition professionals.
The defense acquisition community handles billions of dollars in military contracts, and personnel are required to complete Defense Acquisition University (DAU) courses to advance in their careers, but screenshots reveal Biden-era updates that are still in the current materials are embedding DEI characters (even heavy on Chinese figures in mediator/contractor roles) across DOD scenarios, normalizing foreign influences, even as our National Defense Strategy flags China as the top threat to our national security.
The screenshots below have been provided to me by a source from the DOD. šš»
Take the “Firebird” aircraft program in these training modules as an example.

Lessons push preserving ties with shady contractors like “CyboRaptor” (a mock company) instead of tough litigation, ethics quizzes that have no correct answer, conflict tactics including “retreat” to de-escalate (unheard of in American military training), and leadership models stressing “heart over intellect” with rainbow DEI teams featuring wheelchairs, age diversity, and ethnic quotas – with no white men in the training materials. A Chinese mediator even facilitates U.S.-contractor disputes, downplaying accountability that could expose waste or IP risks from adversaries like the CCP.
This is active indoctrination that distracts from merit, transparency, and secure American supply chains.
With Secretary Hegseth firing DEI holdouts and President Trump streamlining acquisitions to cut red tape, these courses prove the cleanup at DOD remains incomplete, potentially undermining readiness against China.
Nothing to see here, just Biden era educators at Defense Acquisition University @DAUNow attempting to normalize doing business with Chinese leaders in defense companies!
The CCP infiltration of America continues. Good news for our incoming 600,000 Chinese brothers and sisters.
Hopefully @SecDef can get rid of these ridiculous DEI characters which prefer a disabled Latina woman in a wheel chair, a bi-racial grandma, a black man, and a Chinese man the representation of the Department of Defense.
These materials are anti-White and pro-China. See screenshots below šš»
The post then includes screenshot from the training program. In every screenshot of the animated graphics, a Chinese person is portrayed as the leader of the training.
In a second post, Loomer shares another screenshot from the “Team Management and Leadership” training, which includes a section on “Retreat.”
The instruction reads: “The team leader can retreat from a conflict when it appears that the problem is not substantive. By avoiding or working around an issue, the team leader can buy time and allow the individual who is at odds with the group to calm down. If used correctly and in the right environment by an experienced leader, this method can help preclude small incidents from escalating into real problems.”
Loomer furiously demanded, “Why would the Department of Defense training materials teach the concept of āretreatā? What type of message does it send to the world when Chinese characters in DOD materials are telling our service members to RETREAT?”
