Monday marks the one-year anniversary of the date Joe Biden suddenly dropped out of the 2024 presidential race, ending his bid for re-election, just weeks after his disastrous performance in a debate with Donald Trump.
After dropping out of the race, Biden endorsed Kamala Harris, who then became the Democratic nominee without ever gaining a single vote. She went on to lose the election in a massive landslide to President Trump.
Democrats had repeatedly insisted there was nothing wrong with Joe Biden’s health and claimed he was perfectly capable to continuing to serve as president.
House Speaker Mike Johnson brutally mocked Democrats on Monday by throwing their own words right back at them in an epic 14-minute video.
“A year ago today, President Biden’s disastrous debate performance ended his re-election campaign and exposed the largest political cover-up in U.S. history. As House Republicans investigate the scandal to bring accountability, the American people should never forget how far Democrats and the media went to hide the truth about the mental decline of the man holding the most powerful position on earth. Here is just a small sample of the receipts,” Johnson wrote, posting the video.
Over and over and over, the video plays clips of Democrats insisting Joe Biden was “at the top of his game” and fit as a fiddle.
“Such a consequential president… a Mount Rushmore kind of president,” former Speaker Nancy Pelosi gushed.
“Focused and disciplined, detail-oriented, seasoned and capable, extraordinarily strong, boldest, effective president, talented and capable, photographic memory, fit to serve, most accomplishment president of my lifetime….” were just some of the wild claims made by the Democrats in the video.
