President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump traveled to Texas on Friday, to view the devastation caused by the deadly flooding last weekend in Kerrville and the surrounding areas.
Officials announced in an update on Friday that at least 121 people have died from the July 4 flash floods, and over 170 are still missing.
The majority of the victims were from Kerr County, where 96 people were killed, including 36 children. At least 27 attendees of a girls’ summer camp have been found dead. They were attending Camp Mystic, a Christian camp for young girls that was located near the river.
The president and first lady flew on Air Force One to San Antonio, Texas, and then were taken by helicopter to Kerrville, where they met with first responders and viewed some of the horrific damage from the flooding.
