From Breitbart: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported that a San Antonio City Council candidate called for the shooting of ICE agents on the streets of Los Angeles. The threat by the self-described Democrat political consultant comes as ICE agents are increasingly assaulted, and a Border Patrol station in Texas came under attack from a gunman.
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin posted on social media that San Antonio City Council Candidate Matthew Gauna called for the killing of ICE agents in Los Angeles. “I wanna see a few dead ICE agents Los Angeles! Don’t let me down.”
“San Antonio City Council candidate calls for the killing of @ICEgov law enforcement officers in Los Angeles. Depraved. We’ll see you soon, @gauna_matty_5th,” McLaughlin wrote.

Defiantly, Gauna wrote in another post, “If ICE agents start harming the public in Los Angeles, the people have every right to defend themselves. This kind of violent state overreach is exactly why people resist And why this country was founded.”

Texas Attorney General candidate Aaron Reitz posted a screenshot of Gauna’s now-deleted comment, which shows that he was responding to a post by Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin.
Reitz wrote:
Matthew Gauna recently ran for San Antonio City Council. Local elections were this past May and June. He lost and, so far as I can tell, is back to being a student at UTSA. Just today, he called for the deaths of federal law enforcement officers, saying in a now-deleted X post, “I wanna see a few dead ICE agents Los Angeles! Don’t let me down.” A few thoughts:
1. Incitement to and threats of violence toward U.S. officials are crimes under several federal criminal statutes. I expect Gauna to be prosecuted here. And no, this is not “protected free speech” under the First Amendment.
2. Terroristic threats and threats of violence toward public servants are also crimes under the Texas Penal Code. I expect Gauna to be prosecuted on these grounds too. And yes, Gauna can (and should) be hit for state and federal violations concurrently.
3. People like this not only *live* in Texas, but also *seek power* in Texas; the enemy is in our midst.
As Texas Attorney General, I will mobilize all available resources, coordinate with U.S. Attorney Offices, and cooperate with local District Attorneys to lock scum like Gauna up for as long as the law allows. And in the meantime, @UTSA: you should kick this POS out and strip him of any credentials immediately.

Gauna is being blasted on social media, with many people calling for the FBI to go after him.
Screen capped for when @gauna_matty_5th eventually nukes his account. https://t.co/SnifBRw7ql pic.twitter.com/waZuiZccbj

Seems like a nice little fella. I’m sure the rest of the inmates will have some fun with him 🙃

Hey @FBI if you could do a decent thing and look into @gauna_matty_5th that would be great. pic.twitter.com/QQTfEmKQdt
