BREAKING: Battle over biological males in women’s sports heading straight for Supreme Court

4

From Fox News: The Supreme Court decided Thursday to review state bans on transgender athletes participating in public school sports.

Oral arguments will likely be heard later this fall regarding two cases in Idaho and West Virginia. Both cases are focused on state laws that prevent biological males from competing on girls’ sports teams.

“It’s a great day, as female athletes in West Virginia will have their voices heard,” West Virginia Attorney General John McCuskey said in a statement. “The people of West Virginia know that it’s unfair to let male athletes compete against women; that’s why we passed this commonsense law preserving women’s sports for women.”

In a separate report. NBC News explained:

The court will hear cases involving two transgender students, Becky Pepper-Jackson and Lindsay Hecox, who challenged state bans in West Virginia and Idaho, respectively.

Both won injunctions that allow them to continue to compete in sports. Pepper-Jackson, now 15, takes puberty blocking medication, while Hecox, a 24-year-old college student, has received testosterone suppression and estrogen treatments.

After oral arguments are heard later this fall, the Supreme Court is expected to announce a ruling by June 2026.

“The Supreme Court will hear a case on whether states can ban men from competing in girls’ sports. This is huge. Finally, girls’ voices are being heard,” cheered former college swimmer Riley Gaines.
