From The Hill: Conservative commentator Candace Owens said Tuesday she’s “embarrassed” after campaigning for President Trump during the 2024 presidential election cycle.

“He’s been a chronic disappointment. And I feel embarrassed that I told people to go vote for him because this wasn’t going to happen, and it is happening,” Owens said during an appearance on “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”

Owens was a staunch supporter of Trump during his first White House bid and spoke highly of the leader after his exit from the Oval Office.

However, she’s criticized his recent decision to engage in the Israel-Iran conflict. Over the weekend, B-2 bombers from the United States struck three of Iran’s nuclear facilities, furthering Israel’s effort to weaken the country’s weapon development.

Owens said she doesn’t regret voting for Trump over Kamala Harris, because he was the better candidate of the two, but added, “But, he’s been a prime disappointment and I feel embarrassed that I told people to go vote for him.”

“I don’t know where I go from here, but this is not the candidate that I voted for,” she sneered.

Morgan asked Owens if it turns out that Trump’s instincts were right, and that his actions brings Iran to the negotiating table and they work out an agreement, would she admit she was wrong?

Also during the podcast, when speaking of a potential war with Iran, Owens suggested that U.S. military members should just bail out of the military and “get dishonorably discharged,” wildly adding, “Why should you die in a foreign land?”

Piers Morgan called her out on the comment, but she defiantly stood by it.

Owens then went on a rampage against Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“We’re just done! There’s no way we’re going to go backwards, we’re not going to allow you guys to emotionally condition us to go ‘Oh well, we gotta protect Israel because of the Holocaust,'” Owens raged.

“It is over! They’re imparting a Holocaust. America would like off this crazy train!” she claimed.

Morgan then informed Owens of the consequences for dishonorable discharge: “Forfeiture of all pay and allowances and up to 5 years in confinement.”

“I’d want my kids to go to jail before they fought for Israel,” Owens snapped.

Morgan fired back at her, and the exchange got heated.
