Iran is already vowing to retaliate, after Israel slammed Iran’s nuclear program in a massive wave of airstrikes early Friday morning.
The airstrikes reportedly hit multiple nuclear and military sites, and several top officials were eliminated, including the leader of Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, Gen. Hossein Salami, as well as two nuclear scientists, and other top officials.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an address on YouTube that the attacks will continue “for as many days at it takes to remove this threat.”
Iranian Supreme-Leader Ali Khamenei, who is still alive and well, blasted out a threatening statement on social media, just hours after the attack. He wrote:
In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful… To the great Iranian nation! Zionist regime has committed a crime in our dear country today at dawn with its satanic, bloodstained hands. It has revealed its malicious nature even more than before by targeting residential areas.
