“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.” — Proverbs 10:9 (NIV.
On this beautiful Saturday morning, let’s take a moment to count our blessings. God has richly blessed us, not only with material items and simple comforts, but also with His holy Word.
A life of integrity is a life of faith and truth, aligned as closely with God’s Word as possible. In faith, we trust God’s love for us, knowing that His laws are for our good. It is our measure of what is right, and what is wrong, and what He thinks matters more than what anyone else thinks.
When we fail, and we are sure to fail, we don’t try to run from God to hide our sins. A life of integrity means that we run toward God in our brokenness, to confess and repent.
The Bible says, “the LORD rewards each man for his integrity….” (1 Samuel 26:23). The reward is security; God promises blessings to those who live a life of integrity.
Dear Lord, thank You for Your promises. Thank You for faithfully taking care of me, and for guiding me in Your Light. Forgive my sins and bless me in my weakness. Give me the strength I need to live a life of integrity, worthy of You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
