From Fox News: The Trump administration on Saturday released the rap sheets and photos of alleged Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang members detained in Texas who the administration is trying to deport.
The suspects of the violent Venezuelan gang were going to be deported using the recently reinstated Alien Enemies Act of 1798 before the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) ruled Saturday morning against deportations under the 18th century law.
In a decision in favor of the American Civil Liberties Union, the administration was barred from removing Venezuelans held in Texas’ Bluebonnet Detention Center “until further order of this court.”
Following the ruling, Trump administration lawyers filed an opposition to the request to block the deportations, noting the government provided advance notice to detainees prior to removals, and they had adequate time to file habeas claims.
At a minimum, attorneys argued the court should limit the administrative stay to removals.
“Tren de Aragua are the worst of the worst. Our agents risked their lives to capture these terrorists. DHS will continue identifying and detaining these inhuman thugs,” DHS wrote in a social media post.
Fox News reporter Bill Melugin shared photos of some of the violent TdA gang members the Trump administration is now blocked from deporting.
“Per a senior Trump admin official, these are some of the suspected Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang members detained in Texas that the admin was planning to deport before SCOTUS stepped in and blocked it last night. All have significant criminal convictions or charges, Melugin wrote.

Trump advisor Stephen Miller announced, “The TDA illegals now being held in Texas are documented foreign terrorists who infiltrated the country at the direction of an adversarial regime. They were arrested in diligently planned and executed raids recently carried out by Departments of Justice and Homeland Security.”

Journalist Jack Psobiec shared a video as an example and wrote, “This is what we’re up against. Here is a video of a 2024 Tren de Aragua armed robbery in Colorado. This is who the courts, media, and Democrats are trying to keep here.”
Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) responded, “Endangering Americans in pursuit of virtue signaling, leftists are harming those they purport to care most about.”

“Tren de Aragua must be banished from the U.S.,” Sen. Lee wrote.
Miller replied, “MS-13 and TDA are foreign terrorist organizations that have invaded our country. The Constitution REQUIRES the President to find them, arrest them and expel them.”

More from ACLU lawsuit in Texas. Make no mistake what ACLU–on behalf of illegal Venezuelans with ties to TdA covered by the president’s Alien Enemies Act–is successfully doing with help of the courts: sabotaging what is clearly and has always been considered executive branch authority related to foreign policy.
Judges cannot and should not determine what constitutes an “invasion” into our country especially when they took no action to halt the invasion over the last four years. Yet here we are.
