The battle surrounding the proposed construction of an entire Islamic city on the northeast side of Dallas, Texas is still ongoing.
The East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) is a fast-growing Muslim group in the Dallas area, who started out with small gatherings meeting in garages in 2003. As the group grew, they moved into larger facilities, and finally built their own 33,000 square foot mosque in 2015, with capacity for 3,200 people. It is just one of many mosques in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
In mid-February, a video was posted on X by Dr. Yasir Qadhi, a Pakistani American Muslim scholar and theologian, who is dean of The Islamic Seminary of America and resident scholar of the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) in Plano, Texas, a suburb of Dallas.
In the now-deleted video, Qadhi announced, “We are constructing an entire city half an hour from downtown Dallas.” He said it will be a city of over 1,000 people. The website was launched last year, and the entire Phase 1 area of EPIC CITY was sold out within days. Now they are opening up EPIC RANCHES 1 and 2, due to the high demand. The project was scheduled to be built in the northeast area of Dallas, and is all laid out on the group’s website: http://TheEpicRanches.com.
The proposal drew massive backlash after it became known to the public, and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott put the brakes on the project last month, declaring Sharia law and no-go zones are NOT legal in Texas.
However, more details are surfacing about just how deeply the Islamic group has set their footprint on Texas over the past several years, until they have grown so large, they are almost unstoppable.
Amy Mek, Founder & Editor-in-Chief of the RAIR Foundation has been shining a light on EPIC, and exposing just how the group is attempting to “conquer” Texas.
Earlier this week, Mek released a report and announced on X that EPIC has been holding an annual celebration at Southfork Ranch, home of Dallas icon JR Ewing.
“For many, the event may appear cultural and inclusive. But to critics, it represents something far more calculated: a deliberate transformation of one of the most recognizable Texan and American symbols,” Mek warns.

🚨 OUTRAGE IN TEXAS – A Symbolic Conquest of Texas Culture
A newly unearthed promotional video from several years ago confirms what many feared: the controversial EPIC Mosque—the same group behind the Islamic enclave EPIC City—held an Eid celebration at Southfork Ranch, home of Dallas icon JR Ewing.
To some, it may seem like a harmless event.
But this wasn’t inclusion. It was a calculated cultural strike—a symbolic takeover of one of the most recognizable symbols of Texas grit, freedom, and unapologetic power.
🔻 And it’s part of an Islamic pattern:
• 🕌 Turning public streets in Sugar Land into open-air mosques
• 🍽️ Forcing halal in public schools—removing your right to choose
• 🇵🇰 Pushing “Pakistani Day” to normalize foreign Islamic loyalties
• 🏛️ Hosting “Muslim Day at the Capitol” with Hamas-linked CAIR
• ⛪ Converting Texas mega-churches into mosques
• ⚰️ Seizing Texas farmland for Islamic cemeteries
And now—JR Ewing’s ranch has been claimed. To the casual observer, it may seem trivial. Dallas was “just a show,” right?
Wrong. To Islam—and the radical left that empowers it—symbols matter. Icons must fall. Monuments must be repurposed. Your heritage must be erased.
Southfork was never just a ranch. It stood for ambition, power, Texas pride—and that’s exactly why it was targeted.
👉 This isn’t coexistence. It’s conquest—one Texas symbol at a time.
