From the Daily Mail: A top ‘DEI’ activist is caught on voicemail allegedly offering minority air traffic controller candidates the chance to cheat in a make-or-break entry exam.
Shelton Snow, a powerful figure in the National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (NBCFAE), can be heard promising advance access to test answers in a shocking audio clip obtained by DailyMail.com.
‘There are some valuable pieces of information that I have taken a screenshot of and I am going to send that to you via email,’ says Snow, an air traffic operations supervisor based out of New York.
‘I am about 99.99 percent sure that it is exactly how you need to answer each question.’
The inside info was made available in 2014 to African Americans, females, and other minority candidates – but whites were left out of the loop to ‘minimize competition’.
The shocking recording occurred during the Obama administration, “just weeks after the FAA announced the biggest hiring shake up in its history during an Obama-era push to ‘widen the aperture’ for women and minorities,” the Daily Mail revealed.
The report notes that it’s unclear how many people cheated to secure a job responsible for the safety of millions of people, but one former NBCFAE member said, “I know several people who cheated and I know several people who are controlling planes as we speak.”
Below is the audio of the voicemail, in which Snow is heard explaining how he will help minority air traffic controller candidates cheat on their exams.

But it gets worse…. Snow also sent out more cheating tips to minority candidates in an email on January 15, 2014. At the time, he was President of the NBCFAE’s Washington Suburban chapter.
In the email, he gave them a heads-up about certain “buzz words” they should include on their resumes that would escalate them to the top of the list. And, he told them to keep it confidential, so other candidates wouldn’t learn about the trick. Snow wrote:
It has been confirmed there will NOT be a selection panel for the open bid on February 10th. Instead, FAA Human Resources will scan in resumes and the computer will group resumes based on key words (aka. “Buzz Words”). These buzzwords will flag your resume, thereby giving you the advantage over thousands of resumes that may flood the system.
A list of these buzzwords are attached to this email. This list is being provided to you through one of our members in HR. I encourage you to keep a lid of this attachment and focus on YOUR resume. If the entire country caught wind of this attachment, then how will your resume be distinguished from others? After editing your resume using the attached file, resent me your resume for viewing. In the subject line type: “Amended Resume for (Name)”.
Please keep this email confidential between yourselves and the NBCFAE. The information we share with you is to help members of our organization that has invested in their future through the NBCFAE.
Another set of written instructions reads: “We are only concerned about African-Americans, Women (of every ethnic background), and other minorities. Please ensure that you share this information with no one that is identified outside of that. This information is reserved for those classes of people we represent. This is to minimize competition. We effort to influence the FAA to diversify the ATC workforce, and we aim to only prepare candidates that are demographically classed to meet that diversification.”
Shelton also sent emails only to minorities with “buzz words” they should use on their resumes in his effort to make the FAA more diverse. https://t.co/VRZOwsl9Lg pic.twitter.com/UmUcPPEq8H

The Daily Mail reported that a whistleblower actually leaked the voicemail recording in 2015 – still during the Obama administration – and it was featured in a Fox Business report, which put pressure on the FAA to conduct an investigation.
Snow said that he had organized the teleconference to explain the test to the candidates, and he was cleared to continue his career with the FAA. Snow went on to become the NBCFAE’s Northeast Regional Vice President. He was also its top national recruiter for 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016, the Daily Mail reported.
In fact, Snow, now 50, still works for the FAA.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy learned about the bombshell story on Thursday, and declared the matter will be investigated thoroughly.
Duffy wrote in a post on X, “I am launching a full investigation into the DEI hiring allegations at the FAA immediately. If true, swift accountability will come for those responsible. We need the best and brightest, not buzzword, DEI hires.”

Speaking with Fox News Friday morning, Duffy said, “I want to know, are there DEI practices still in place? Because @POTUS has been incredibly clear, he wants the best and the brightest air traffic controllers controlling our skies. I agree with him on that.”

He attended Embry-Riddle. This one careless decision will cause Shelton Snow to ruin his career. It’s not DEI or diversity. It’s cheating plain and simple. pic.twitter.com/rgTMQIhdLw
