While back home in Cincinnati, Ohio for the weekend, Vice President JD Vance said he was confronted by a group of pro-Ukraine protesters as he was out on a walk with his 3-year-old daughter on Saturday.
The women were walking to join a rally, attended by dozens of people waving Ukrainian flags, not far from his home.
From Cincinnati.com: A group of pro-Ukrainian demonstrators gathered Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the bottom of the hill at the intersection of Columbia Parkway, William Howard Taft Road and Torrence Parkway not far from Vance’s home.
They held signs saying, “JD Vance: Ukraine’s kids are way more scared than yours,” “JD Vance: Have you no shame?” and “Ohio supports Ukraine!” among many other pro-Ukraine sentiments.
Vance wrote in a post on X:
Today while walking my 3 year old daughter a group of “Slava Ukraini” protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared.
I decided to speak with the protesters in the hopes that I could trade a few minutes of conversation for them leaving my toddler alone. (Nearly all of them agreed.)
It was a mostly respectful conversation, but if you’re chasing a 3-year-old as part of a political protest, you’re a shit person.
Today while walking my 3 year old daughter a group of “Slava Ukraini” protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared.

A video has since emerged of the tense moment, as the leftist women continue to argue with Vance over Ukraine, talking over him and refusing to listen to his reasoning.
Secret Service agents are seen standing between Vance and the mob.
