From the New York Post: DJ Daniel, the 13-year-old brain cancer survivor honored by President Trump during his speech to a joint session of Congress, got to meet the commander in chief Wednesday and the two shared another tender moment.

Daniel, an aspiring police officer, received a standing ovation in the House chamber Tuesday night after Trump surprised the Houston teenager by making him an honorary Secret Service agent.

The “newest member of the United States Secret Service” and his family met with Trump, 78, in the Oval Office, where the young boy had a surprise of his own for the president.

As President Trump was sitting at his desk, DJ walked toward him and said, “There’s one more thing I got for you – a big hug.”

“That’s very nice,” Trump said, caught off-guard.

Below is a video of the heartfelt moment:

DJ spoke to the media outside the White House. In an interview with Real America’s Voice, he said he had one more thing to say.

“If you’re a Democrat and you’re being mean to President Trump, I’m on your bumper!”

Journalist Collin Rugg posted a sickening video from sometime last year, as a group of people taunted and mocked the young boy because he was wearing a police uniform.

“Arrest us!” they taunted.

“Last year, young DJ Daniel was harassed and made fun of by a group of people because of his police outfit. Last night, he was honored by the president of the United States and became an honorary Secret Service agent,” Rugg wrote.

The U.S. Secret Service said in a statement on X, “It is an honor for our agency to recognize Secret Service Special Agent, DJ. His desire to be an officer, and love of law enforcement, is an inspiration to everyone in our agency. We could not be prouder to welcome him into the Secret Service family.”

Now DJ has received another offer, from the United Cajun Navy, a volunteer non-profit group out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana who provides hurricane release and search and rescue services.

“If anybody knows how to get in touch with Officer/Special Agent DJ Daniel, we’d love to swear him in as an honorary member of the United Cajun Navy!” the group wrote.

The White House posted a video clip from an interview with DJ, as he briefly shared his story ahead of President Trump’s address to Congress Tuesday night.

DJ had his photo taken with multiple members of Congress while he was at the White House Wednesday, as well as some at the Capitol Tuesday night.
