NEWS ALERT: MSNBC dismissing far-left anti-Trump host Joy Reid, reactions are pouring in

The far-left MSNBC host Joy Reid, known for her anti-Trump rants and racist tirades, is on her way out the door.

From the New York Times: Joy Reid’s evening news show on MSNBC is being canceled, part of a far-reaching programming overhaul orchestrated by Rebecca Kutler, the network’s new president, two people familiar with the changes said.

The final episode of Ms. Reid’s 7 p.m. show, “The ReidOut,” is planned for sometime this week, according to the people, who were not authorized to speak publicly. The show, which features in-depth interviews with politicians and other newsmakers, has been a fixture of MSNBC’s lineup for the past five years.

MSNBC is planning to replace Ms. Reid’s program with a show led by a trio of anchors: Symone Sanders Townsend, a political commentator and former Democratic strategist; Michael Steele, a former chairman of the Republican National Committee; and Alicia Menendez, the TV journalist, the people said. They currently co-host “The Weekend,” which airs Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Here’s a FLASHBACK VIDEO from July 2024, when Reid brazenly declared that Trump “was an elderly man who, for whatever reason, was given 9 seconds to take an iconic photo op during an active shooter situation.”

She then claimed that Trump surviving the assassination attempt at a Butler, PA rally and going immediately to the RNC was exactly the same as Joe Biden beating Covid and going to the DNC.

Another FLASHBACK, from 2022, when Reid claimed that most people don’t really use or understand the word ‘inflation.’

Reid’s ouster is getting a huge reaction on social media, with liberals fuming and conservatives cheering.

Podcast host Megyn Kelly wrote, “Remember when Joy Reid laughingly mocked “white women tears” as pathetic and offensive to her? Who’s crying now, Joy? Good riddance to the absolute worst person on television, and shame on NBC for letting it go on this long.”

Political commentator Rob Smith cheered, “Joy Reid is OUT at MSNBC! Goodbye to one of the biggest HACKS, RACISTS, and LOSERS to ever DISGRACE a cable news set! Goodbye, Joy!”

Political commentator Meghan McCain wrote, “Joy Reid was exposed for having blogposts of extremely homophobic material that included both my Dad and one of my best friends @clayaiken. As well as doctoring a photo of my Dad on a mass shooters body. She blamed hackers and got the FBI involved. The idea that she has ever been anything other than hateful and horrible is just garbage. Good riddance.”

Podcast host Alec Lace cheered, “Joy Reid, The View, Morning Joe and Rachel Maddow all played a significant role in helping Trump win the landslide election in November. Now, they’re done!”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) wrote, “Good morning!! MSNBC just canceled Joy Reid’s show. The ad execs and the board finally figured out that racism, lies, and Trump derangement syndrome will put them out of business.”

Podcast host Clay Travis wrote, “The most remarkable thing about people like Joy Reid, Don Lemon and Jim Acosta is they have been paid millions of dollars for years to talk on TV and yet they have developed no actual fan base. The minute they leave TV, their careers are over. Do you know how hard this to do?”

Actor Michael Rapaport write, “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Good, and not cause I wanna see anyone lose a job good because you had an opportunity & pissed it away with short sighted racially weaponized 1/4 truth garbage. And they did it on a SUNDAY morning, double HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.”

Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann, a far-left liberal, fumed, “MSNBC shake-up: the issue is, they didn’t have a Joy Reid problem. They have a Joe Scarborough problem. Until he is fired, MSNBC will not recover. Shuffling tepid shows in and out does nothing.”

“Also: panel shows with multiple meh hosts don’t work in primetime in cable news. They didn’t work in 2003, which is about the last time MSNBC tried one – even those executives understood the need for strong solo anchors (though they seldom could identify them),” he added.

Elie Mystal, another far-left liberal, claimed it’s all racism.

“I owe the television part of my career to Joy Reid, as do so many other Black voices y’all never would have heard of if not for her. And *that’s* why she’s gone. They can treat black folks as interchangeable, but everybody Black knows that Joy was indispensable,” Mystal wildly alleged.
