Conservative rapper and Trump supporter Tom MacDonald released a brand new song Friday, and it’s already going viral on both YouTube and X.
MacDonald, 36, a Canadian rapper, songwriter and former wrestler who now lives in Los Angeles, has released a number of pro-American rap songs, many which mock the “woke” liberals.
But this time, MacDonald strikes a softer tone with this Christian-themed song about a Heavenly Father watching over all of us, despite all the other ‘men’ in the world who can’t be trusted.
Standing in a humble farm corral with goats and sheep walking around him, MacDonald plays his guitar and sings about a greater power who is still in control. He hits on the deception of the media, the medical industry, the financial industry, and social media.
The crooked judicial system, the woke education system, and even the tech industry where nothing is private also get a mention. But through it all, MacDonald says “there’s a man in the sky, watching over me and you.”
In a post on X, MacDonald explained his story:
I want to tell you a story about my new song “Man In The Sky”.
I struggled with my faith for most of my life.
In 2017, I was at my lowest. Addicted & unwell.
I prayed for help every day.
At the end of 2017, I wrote a song called Dear Rappers.I don’t remember trying to rhyme or write a single word.
The song just came out of me. It felt like God spoke through me that day.
That song went viral and changed my entire life.Today, 8 years after “Dear Rappers”, I released a new song called “Man In The Sky”. It’s for everyone who is questioning everything. Including their faith.
“Man In The Sky” is out now. Check it out & tell me what you think.
Stay strong guys ❤️
“This song is for everyone. Left, right, rich, poor, black, white, straight, gay…the TRUTH is UNIVERSAL!!! Help me reach the world with this one!” MacDonald wrote as he posted the song on YouTube.
WATCH the touching new song below, “Man In The Sky”:
The lyrics of the song began as follows:
There’s a man on TV, at a desk and a suit
He lies through his teeth and they still call it the news
There’s a man in a white coat, who’s medicine kills
He loves when you’re sick, ’cause you pay for his pills
There’s a man at the bank, who will give you a loan
So, you’ll buy a house, and then he’ll take your home
There’s a man who wants you spending your life online
‘Cause you’re searching for truth, but controls what you find
We’ll be fine babe, if we don’t make it through
There’s a man, in the church, who I really hope told me the truth
Said there’s a man in the sky, watching over me and you
It don’t help if you can fly, it’s way past the moon
And there’s men here on the ground, who just want to burn it down
They want money, they want power, don’t want anyone else allowed
We’ll be fine babe, I’ll be the man for you
There’s a man in the courts, sworn to uphold the law
But he’s crooked as a fencepost, and don’t do his job
There’s a man in the classroom, who should know the facts
But he’s brainwashin’ kids, teaching English in Math
There’s a man in your phone, who hears everything you say
He knows everywhere you go, every joke you ever made
There’s a man with a bloodline, that owns the whole world
Every airplane, and building, and every gold brick, and pearl
We just hit #2 on the charts – ONE spot from making this #1! Download and help us out if ya can! https://t.co/bBNetne7qD
