WATCH: Democrats rage against Musk and DOGE at wild protest outside Treasury building

From ABC News: Democratic lawmakers continue to protest tech billionaire Elon Musk’s sweeping influence over government decisions and material, with protests, proposed legislation and other attempts to obstruct President Donald Trump’s agenda and the efforts of his close ally to cut what the Trump administration considers wasteful spending.

Dozens of lawmakers appeared Tuesday at a “Nobody Elected Elon” rally outside the Treasury Department, each delivering fiery attacks directed toward Trump and Musk. They described Musk’s action as a “heist,” a “takeover” and an “abuse of power.”

Rep. Ayanna Pressley went as far as calling Musk a “Nazi nepo baby.”

President Trump appointed Musk to head up the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), with the sole purpose of eliminating wasteful government spending. Furious over the efforts, Democrats are threatening to derail Trump’s agenda by holding up confirmation of his appointees.

“I don’t think the United States Senate should vote for a single nominee until this is over!” declared Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT).

The mob stood outside the Treasury building Tuesday evening and chanted, “Let us in! Let us in!”

“Mobilizing! Organizing! Agitating! We will see you in the courts, in Congress, in the streets!” Rep. Ayanna Pressley threatened, as the crowd cheered and Rep. Maxine Waters stood beside her, wildly clapping her hands.

“Elon Musk is a Nazi Neo Baby! A godless lawless billionaire! No one elected Elon!” Pressley screeched.

Rep. Maxine Waters said, “We have got to tell Elon Musk, ‘Nobody elected your ass. Nobody told you you could get all of our private information. Nobody told you you could be in charge of the payments of this country!’”

“THIS IS OUR COUNTRY! THIS IS NOT ELON MUSK’S COUNTRY! THIS IS NOT DONALD TRUMP’S COUNTRY!” Waters howled during her meltdown which lasted a little over four minutes.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) came to the microphone and fumed over Elon Musk in a one-minute tirade.

“We cannot allow Elon Musk and a small group of people to, secretly, behind closed doors, take away our privacy, take away our dollars, take away everything we have!” he screamed.

Maxine Waters was seen holding hands with Schumer and chanting, “We will win! We will win!”

That one is prompting huge mockery on social media. Act for America founder Brigitte Gabriel quipped, “This should be an advertisement for term limits!”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) launched into an unhinged tirade, claiming that “Elon Musk spent $280 million to buy an election for Donald Trump, and now Elon Musk is here to collect on his investment. He is here to seize power for himself!”

Warren wildly claimed, “Musk has grabbed control of America’s payment system! This is the system that makes sure your grandpa gets his social security on time! This is the system that makes sure that your mom’s doctor gets paid for her medicare exam. Elon Musk wants the power to turn that off.”

“No one elected Elon Musk to NOTHING!” Warren screeched. “Not one Democrat in America voted for Elon Musk, not one not one Republican in America voted for Elon Musk, not one independent in America voted for Elon Musk, not one libertarian in America voted for Elon Musk. Damn, not one vegetarian in America voted for Elon Musk, and yet, Elon Musk is seizing the power that belongs to the American people. WE ARE HERE TO FIGHT BACK!”

Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) yelled, “We will not take this! We will fight back! God-dammit, shut down the city! We are at war! Any time a person can pay $250 million into a campaign and be given full access to the Department of Treasury, we are at WAR!”

Progressive Democrat Rep. Maxwell Frost (Fla.) raged, “We just tried to enter the Treasury Building because we need to provide oversight to Elon Musk. The people deserve transparency. The fact that an unelected billionaire has all your private information is a problem!”

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) claimed, “Twenty years from now, you will remember this is the moment that made a difference for America, because the message here is, we have to reach beyond this crowd, reach beyond this city. Reach beyond Democrats, to Republicans and say you’re losing your country too!”

Below is a video montage of remarks by multiple Democrats as they raged and screamed in protest against Musk’s efforts to shine a light on wasteful government spending.

The mob was still outside the Treasury building after dark Tuesday evening, chanting, “Shut down the Senate!”
