As the inaugural ceremonies continue on Monday, President Donald Trump is set to appear at a packed Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C., where an estimated 20,000 supporters are gathered.

A presidential parade is expected to be held at the event, instead of the traditional outdoor parade usually held for inaugurations. The event has been moved indoors, due to the bitter cold weather.

Military bands are also performing at the event.

A desk has been placed on stage where Trump is expected to sign a number of executive orders to start off his return to office, right in front of the entire crowd.

NBC New York provided an outline of the program for the event:

  • US Army Field Band from Ft. Meade, MD – led by Commander and Conductor Lt. Colones Domingo S. Robinson, drum major Master Sergeant James Old
  • Herald Trumpets
  • Vice President JD Vance and Family Arrive

  • Program Concludes

After the event concludes at Capitol One Arena, Trump and First Lady Melania will then travel via motorcade to the White House.  They also have three inaugural balls to go to yet Monday night.

Ahead of Trump’s arrival for the Capitol One Arena event, multiple members of Trump’s team spoke to the crowd.

Trump aide Dan Scavino revved up the crowd as he jubilantly yelled, “We’re BAAACCCKKK!”

Elon Musk cheered, “Yes! This is what victory feels like!”

Incoming FBI Director Kash Patel also spoke:

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin said, “Donald J. Trump has never, ever lost faith in America. They tried to take him down legally. They tried to put him in jail. They tried to even assassinate him — and he never gave up on America, and America, we will never give up on him!”
