President-elect Donald Trump and his family boarded a government executive plane Saturday afternoon in Florida, and are returning to Washington, D.C., ahead of his inauguration, which is now less than 48 hours away.

According to the Daily Mail, the plane sent to bring Trump to D.C. was Air Force Two, the plane which is used by vice presidents and other government dignitaries.

Once he is inaugurated as President, Trump will then be flown on the official Air Force One plane for future trips.

Trump’s Deputy Director of Communications, Margo Martin, posted a video clip showing Trump, Melania and Barron Trump, along with Melania’s father, Viktor Knavs, all boarding the plane Saturday afternoon:

“The President and First Lady are leaving Mar-a-Lago now for Washington, DC, on a great journey of success for our country!🇺🇸,” wrote incoming White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

The Trump War Room posted a video of the takeoff:

The New York Post shared details of upcoming events prior to the inauguration on Monday:

The president-elect is holding a reception and fireworks show Saturday night at his golf club in Virginia with a crowd of 500 guests.

On Sunday, he will lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery and then hold a “Make America Great Again Victory Rally” inside the Capital One Arena in downtown Washington.

He will then spend the night at Blair House — across from the Executive Mansion he’ll call home for the next four years — and take tea Monday morning with outgoing President Biden, 82, before heading to the Capitol.

Below is the full video, of Trump boarding the plane, and the takeoff back to D.C…. and back to the Oval Office for another four years:

Eric Trump and his family flew separately, on the Trump Force One plane to D.C.

Lara Trump, Eric’s wife and the former RNC co-chair, posted a video showing both planes on the tarmac.

Eric shared a family photo before their departure, along with the following statement:

As we speak, I’m heading to DC with Lara, Luke, and Carolina, feeling a renewed hope and spirit for our country.

The past 10 years have been a constant fight — countless rallies, TV appearances, subpoenas, depositions, and weeks in cold courtrooms. Through endless attacks on my family, the company I run, and the employees I care for, we faced slander, fake news, home raids, and countless games designed to break us.

But now, as I board this beautiful plane en route to Washington D.C. with two beautiful children — so innocent to the harsh realities of the world — I know that every ounce of my fight has been for them and the future of their generation.

This time, America won. Against all odds, we did it—together, with the incredible people of this nation and the greatest political movement in history.

I’ve never been prouder of anyone than I am of @realdonaldtrump. He stood unwavering, truly having the courage of steel. Our country is in great hands. The madness is over. America is in an age of renewal.

I’m now turning my attention back to my family and the company I love, but I’ll always take pride in having played a part in this historic fight and victory.

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner and their three children arrived and boarded Air Force Two a few minutes earlier than her father.

From the Daily Mail: Daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, along with daughter Arabella and sons Joseph and Theodore crossed the tarmac in West Palm beach to board Trump’s modified 757 minutes ahead of the president-elect.

Ivanka posted a “flashback” video as the entire family arrived in Washington, D.C. 8 years ago, for Trump’s first inauguration.

She also shared another flashback video as they drove to the White House for the first time after Trump’s first inauguration. Her young children are heard chattering away inside the car, all curious about the new adventure they were embarking on.
