VIDEO: Actress says Californians Are Learning What Happens When You Elect Incompetent Democrats

From Breitbart: Actress and filmmaker Justine Bateman heaped scorn on the political class in Los Angeles and the state of California over the devastating wildfire disaster that continues to sweep over Southern California, and demanded that they “resign in shame” for their fatal failures.

Speaking to Fox News’ Jesse Watters on Thursday, Bateman slammed the California’s elected leaders, calling them dangerous and a liability to the people of the state.

Watters asked the Family Ties star what she thought about the situation in Los Angeles, and she replied in no uncertain terms.

“If you are going to run a city or run a state, you have to take care of the basics. And that’s make sure that your fire and your police department are well funded,” she told Watters. “Make sure that you have, not only you have plans if there are emergencies in your area you’ve rehearsed them, but also you have plans to mitigate the problems that you know are going to happen in that area. And for us, it’s fire, earthquake, rain, and consequent mudslides. And if you’re not doing everything you can to take care of those problems if they arise, then GET OUT [of office]. You are useless to us!”

Bateman also said voters need to stop voting simply based on political party, and instead, vote for the person who is most competent for the job.

“If someone has shown their competence and they have a ‘D’ next to their name, then, fine, vote for them. If they have an ‘R’ next to their name, who cares, like vote for them! Vote for somebody you think can do this job,” she said.

She also noted that you don’t hire a plumber or a car mechanic based on their political affiliation, but you choose the person who is most qualified.

Saturday night, Bateman posted a message for California voters:

California residents, this is the moment to think very hard about whether or not you want @GavinNewsom (and Karen Bass @MayorOfLA for those in LA) in charge when we get the rain that brings mudslides, or a big earthquake. They have proven themselves to be completely inept at running a state and city, respectively. I am assuming they have no mitigation plans for either disaster.

Sign their recall petitions and/or demand their resignations. We deserve responsible adults in these roles. We cannot afford to have another disaster while they are in these offices.

“Karen Bass @MayorOfLA, resign now and save us the trouble of filing this petition,” Batement declared.

In another post, Bateman wrote:

The reality is that even if Karen Bass @MayorOfLA had allocated $500m to the fire department, there was a series of failures due to “leadership” ineptitude. Period.

There is no explanation that can excuse the complete failure of her and
@GavinNewsom to mitigate the known issues in this area (fire, earthquake, rain, mudslides), and endlessly rehearse the contingency plans when mitigation fails.

Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom need to be relieved of their offices so adults who know even the basics of SimCity can effectively run this city and state.
