From Fox News: Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is facing major backlash for being in Ghana while her city battled devastating wildfires. Now, a 2021 tweet in which she criticized Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, for going to Cancun, Mexico, with his family as his state dealt with a severe winter storm has resurfaced.
“Ted Cruz fleeing Texas in the middle of a deadly crisis is part of a larger pattern of the GOP abandoning folks in crisis. We need to build a movement to kick them all out,” Bass had sneered in the Feb. 19, 2021 tweet.
“I’m working to elect progressive leaders across the country. Join me by chipping in what you can now to put a stop to this,” she added.

Bass is now being torched on social media over her old tweet.
