All five living U.S. presidents and their wives – except one – attended former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. Thursday morning.

Former first lady Michelle Obama was notably absent, missing in action, a no-show. Her husband, former president Barack Obama, arrived alone and was seated next to President-elect Donald Trump.  The two were seen quietly chatting and laughing together ahead of the service.

Where was Michelle?

According to CNN, she had a “scheduling conflict,” and is “still in Hawaii on an extended holiday vacation.”

According to seating protocol, if Michelle had attended, she would have been seated between her husband and Trump.

Podcast host Clay Travis wrote, “Michelle Obama wasn’t willing to interrupt her Hawaiian vacation to attend the Jimmy Carter funeral. Really bad look for her. She should have been there. Every other former First Lady was.”

Conservative lawyer Rogan O’Handley wrote, “Classless Michelle Obama couldn’t leave her Hawaiian vacation to attend a Presidential funeral.”

Meanwhile, liberals are literally applauding Michelle Obama for skipping the funeral.
