Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson by unanimous decision after an eight-round boxing match Friday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Tyson started strong, showing flashes of his prime, but the 27-year-old Paul ultimately prevailed. Tyson lost steam by round three, waiting for an opening that never came, while Paul landed key shots to control the fight.
Fans at AT&T Stadium were visibly unhappy, with boos audible on the Netflix broadcast and some leaving before the winner was announced.
Fans on X also expressed disappointment:
Mike Tyson looked really slow tonight. The only thing slower then Mike were the Netflix servers.

Tyson + Paul = Buffering.
The most buffered sporting event of all time. A bust it will be.

Just sad smh. I cut it off because I couldn’t watch anymore. It’s sad to see Mike Tyson like this because I went to every Tyson fight.
This fight tonight was not great for boxing.

Jake Paul can’t finish a 58-year-old who has the mobility of a tree.
We gotta collectively agree to stop paying attention to this Jake Paul circus. What an embarrassment to boxing.

Credit to Jake Paul + Mike Tyson for pulling off one of the great cons of century. I shoulda put 10 million on Jake. Not cause he’s good but cause he fought a senior citizen. I would say everybody involved should be ashamed but I’d take the money it too if I could. #TysonPaul
