From the New York Post: The Manhattan judge who oversaw Donald Trump’s “hush money” criminal trial is expected to announce next week if the president-elect’s historic felony conviction will still stand.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan had already delayed sentencing by more than four months to come after the election — and gave himself until next Tuesday to decide if the conviction should be tossed.

Trump’s overwhelming election win will further embolden his legal team “to make sure that sentencing never happens,” CNN chief legal affairs correspondent Paula Reid noted late Wednesday.

The report quotes former prosecutor Neama Rahmani as saying, “Merchan doesn’t have the stomach to imprison a former president or president-elect. Now that Trump has won, his criminal problems go away.”

Investigative journalist Laura Loomer wrote:

Remember Judge Merchan, that NY Judge I exposed along with his daughter Loren Merchan, who made MILLIONS OF DOLLARS off of digital fundraising and consulting for Democrats who campaigned on indicting and jailingTrump while her father oversaw President Trump’s trial?

Well, today it’s being reported that Judge Merchan is now going to consider TOSSING the president-elect’s 34 felony convictions before he re-returns to the White House.

Juan Merchan already delayed President Trump’s original sentencing date till November 26th, and he has given himself until Tuesday, November 12th to decide if the conviction should still stand.
