ELECTION NEWS: Presidential race updates (Trump v. Harris)

The presidential race between former President Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris, which was expected to be “razor thin,” has turned into a historic victory for Trump.

With results still pending in some key battleground states, Trump has been declared the winner with 277 electoral votes.

270 Electoral votes are needed to win the presidential election.

Just before midnight Tuesday night, Georgia was just called for Trump. After 1:00 am, it was announced the Trump had won Pennsylvania, and then Wisconsin.

As of 1:45 am, results are still pending for Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Alaska and Hawaii.

UPDATE: Wednesday 1:45 am ET:  Trump has 277 electoral votes, and Kamala Harris has 226.

  • Rhode Island
