From the New York Post: Los Angeles descended into chaos Wednesday night as belligerent baseball fans set a bus on fire while others clashed with cops and looters ran amok following the Dodgers’ World Series victory.

The Los Angeles Police Department shared footage of a mob of looters running in and out of a boarded-up Nike store carrying merchandise and throwing it into cars parked outside the store about four miles from Dodger Stadium just after 11 p.m.

The LAPD said it was “aware of the looting” and has made arrests but did not disclose how many suspects were taken into custody.

The department also shared that “several businesses” were looted and multiple properties were “vandalized” during the “violent celebrations” across the city.

Fans poured out into the streets to celebrate the Dodgers win, but the celebrations got wilder by the minute, and eventually descended into violent chaos.

In one video, the crowd was heard crudely chanting, “F**k New York!”

The police showed up to try to keep things under control, as fireworks started going off and the situation went from bad to worse.

According to a lengthy thread of videos posted on X, Los Angeles Videographer Sean Beckner-Carmitchel said in one post that some in the crowd even threw bottles at police officers.

Mounted police were seen in the street, with a fire burning in the street behind them.

Police ordered the crowd to leave the area, but the violence escalated, as the mob started breaking store windows.

A man climbed atop a bus, which was also graffitied. The bus was later set on fire.

Doughnuts in the streets:

They climbed atop a restaurant awning, and wrote, “F**k the Yankees” on the front of the building.

The mob laid out multiple scooters in the street, so police couldn’t get through.

The LAPD first announced on social media, “Reports of a hostile crowd that has surrounded an MTA bus and is attempting to set it on fire in the area of Sunset and Echo Park. LAPD officers are responding. Stay away from the area.”

“Several dispersal orders have been given. Several businesses have been looted. It was requested to celebrate responsibly,” the LAPD announced.

“Central Division is aware of the looting that occurred earlier in the celebrations. Arrests have been made,” the LAPD added.

Police were seen arresting looters coming out of the Nike store.
