Former NY City Mayor, Rudy Giuliani is 80 years old. As a former attorney to Trump, and a staunch believer that the 2020 election was stolen, Rudy found himself in hot water a few years ago when two election workers from Georgia successfully sued him for defamation damages. The mayor accused them of wrongdoing during the election, and a court awarded the workers nearly $150,000,000.

In a recent ruling Tuesday, Federal Judge Lewis Liman in Manhattan stripped Rudy of nearly everything he owns so that the two workers can be paid.

The order stipulates that within seven days, Giuliani must transfer the rights to his NYC penthouse to a receivership managed by the workers, enabling them to sell the property, potentially fetching millions. In addition to the real estate, Giuliani is required to hand over personal items including watches gifted by European leaders post-9/11, a signed Joe DiMaggio jersey, sports collectibles, and a vintage 1980 Mercedes previously owned by actress Lauren Bacall. Further, Giuliani’s television, furniture, and jewelry will also be included in the asset transfer.

Giuliani also faces the loss of about $2 million in legal fees he claims are still owed to him by the Trump campaign, which Judge Liman has ruled should go to the two election workers. However, the fate of Giuliani’s Florida condo and his New York Yankees World Series rings remains undecided, with a hearing set for the following Monday to discuss the Florida property.

The process of asset transfer via receivership, as explained by the judge, is chosen for its effectiveness in maximizing sale values through reputable auction houses like Sotheby’s and Christie’s.

This case underscores the repercussions faced by Trump’s legal team for their roles in challenging the 2020 election results, with Giuliani also facing disbarment for suggesting the election was stolen. Meanwhile, the broader legal and political ramifications for Trump and his associates continue to unfold.
