NEWS ALERT: McDonalds releases statement, throws cold water on Harris’ claim of working there

After former President Donald Trump donned an apron and served food at a McDonalds restaurant just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Sunday, the franchise released a statement that appears to throw cold water on Kamala Harris’ claim that she once worked at one of their restaurants.

The statement does not specially deny Harris ever worked at a McDonalds, but says they have no record of such.  The statement begins:

“Earlier today, former President Donald Trump visited a McDonald’s restaurant in Pennsylvania following a request made to our local franchise. As we’ve seen, our brand has been a fixture of conversation this election cycle. While we’ve not sought this, it’s a testament to how much McDonald’s resonates with so many Americans.

“McDonald’s does not endorse candidates for elected office and that remains true in this race for the next President. We are not red or blue – we are golden.

“Though we are not a political brand, we’ve been proud to hear former President Trump’s love for McDonald’s and Vice President Harris’s fond memories working under the Arches. While we and our franchises don’t have record for all positions dating back to the 80s, what makes “1 in 8” so powerful is the shared experience so many Americans have had.”

McDonald further writes that when a local law enforcement officer approached the owner of the restaurant and explained Trump’s desire to visit the restaurant, “he was proud to highlight how he and his team serve their local community.”

Noting that “we open our doors to everyone,” McDonalds said Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, are welcome to visit  as well.

Trump responded to the McDonald’s statement, writing in a post on his Truth Social page, “Lyin’ Kamala Harris is now A CONFIRMED LIAR IN THAT SHE NEVER WORKED AT McDonald’s, as she said she had FOR YEARS. SHE NEVER WORKED AT McDONALD’S. SHE IS A LIAR, NOT A PRESIDENT!”

“We have checked with McDonald’s, and they say, definitively, that there is no record of Lyin’ Kamala Harris ever having worked there. In other words, she never worked there, and has lied about this “job” for years. Additionally, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden are killing franchises, want to end all franchises, which will destroy values and jobs. Also, remember, from me, No Tax On Tips!” Trump wrote in another post.

While McDonalds has no record of Harris ever working for their restaurants, there IS proof of Trump’s long-standing relationship with McDonalds, including a commercial he once made for the franchise years ago.

The humorous 2002 commercial features Trump along with McDonald’s mascot Grimace. Trump’s longtime aide, Dan Scavinio, posted the video on X Sunday morning:

In a report by Breitbart, it is noted that Harris only recently popped up with the claim that she worked at McDonalds:

After being in the public eye for decades and writing two memoirs that never mentioned her time with the Golden Arches, Harris only first mentioned working there at a 2009 union event as she planned to run for president.

Media requests to her campaign asking for verification of her McDonald’s employment have been ignored, although this could be easily verified through tax records or people coming forward.

Deepening the mystery is the news that employees at a McDonald’s location in Alameda, California “told The Telegraph they had been instructed by bosses not to talk about the vice-president, after claims that she invented her summer job to appear more authentic to voters.”

All Harris will say is she worked at an Alameda McDonald’s, but she refuses to say which one.
