VIDEO: Embarrassment for Harris as Lizzo stunt backfires bigtime

From the Daily Mail: Pop star Lizzo has sparked an uproar after she promised that America would look like Detroit if Kamala Harris was elected to the White House.

The singer, 36, who hails from Motor City, appeared alongside the Democratic presidential nominee at Western International High School in the city.

The star, real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson, said: ‘I’m so proud to be from this city, you know they say if Kamala wins then the whole country will be like Detroit.’

‘Proud like Detroit, resilient like Detroit. The same Detroit that innovated the auto industry and the music industry. Put some respect on Detroit’s name.’

Her comments have since been blasted on social media after users pointed out that the city has been in a state of decay and decline for decades.

“They’re in total self destruction mode,” mocked prominent X user Johnny MAGA.

“I can only imagine! Yikes! Correct me if I am wrong isn’t Detroit filled with corr*uption and cri*mes?” asked another person.

“ummm. huh??? 😂😂😂 @realDonaldTrump your next ad has been made,” another person joked.

“Why in the world would we want the rest of America to look like Detroit?” another person asked.

“Ask yourself this serious question: Do you want to live in a country that is just like Detroit?” wrote Joseph Menslage.

Comedian Tim Young wrote, “Lizzo said that if Kamala wins, “the whole country will be like Detroit.” Yes, America will be a hollowed out shell of what it once was… And we’ll be plagued by crime, homelessness, and a terrible economy.”

“Trump needs this as a campaign ad,” another suggested.

Some people on social media are laying out the “receipts,” showing just how bad Detroit really is.

X user Clandestine posted video footage from one area in Detroit and wrote: Lizzo: “If Kamala wins, the whole country will be like Detroit.”
