From Fox News: Former Fulton County Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade left Capitol Hill on Tuesday after a marathon four-and-a-half hour grilling by House Judiciary Committee investigators.

Wade, whose legal team included former Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes, said little to reporters before, after and during his closed-door deposition. No lawmakers were seen entering or leaving the room.

“This is all I’m going to say – we gave our testimony, we cooperated and we are through,” Barnes told reporters after the session.

The House Judiciary Committee has been seeking information on Wade’s relationship with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who is investigating former President Trump’s alleged efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss in Georgia.

The House Judiciary GOP is investigating whether there was bias in the Georgia case against Trump.

Fani Willis was in a panic ahead of the congressional hearing with Wade, and fired off a letter to Committee Chair Jim Jordan on Friday, announcing, “Mr. Wade has been instructed not to answer any questions that seek to solicit information about his role or underlying evidence in the Office’s investigation of unlawful efforts to interfere with the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.”

Wade was seen walking in Tuesday morning, as he arrived for the congressional hearing.

Scripps News correspondent Ava-joye shared a video and wrote:

Nathan Wade is on Capitol Hill for a deposition with the House Judiciary Committee.

A few days ago, DA Fani Willis sent a letter to @JudiciaryGOP, expressing concern that the request for a deposition will “divulge confidential” info that’s protected by the privileges of her office.

This deposition is with regards to Wade’s former role as a special prosecutor in DA Willis’ office, a role he no longer holds. Wade resigned earlier this year after he and DA Willis admitted they once had a romantic relationship.

This is a closed door event, the public is not allowed in.
