In a desperate bid to win over Black men and rural voters, Kamala Harris’ campaign sent former president Bill Clinton out to campaign for her in Georgia.
However, while he was supposed to be promoting Harris, Clinton stumbled around and admitted a major flaw in Harris’ open-border policies.
From Fox News: Former President Bill Clinton said in a speech Monday that Georgia nursing student Laken Riley’s murder would not have happened if the alleged killer, an illegal immigrant, was properly vetted.
While campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris in the Peach State, Clinton accused her rival, former President Trump, of tanking negotiations over a bipartisan border compromise in Congress because he wanted it to be a campaign issue.
He seemed to suggest that Riley’s death could have been avoided if Congress was able to pass a compromise – despite the alleged killer having already been vetted.
“You had a case in Georgia not very long ago, didn’t you? They made an ad about it, a young woman who had been killed by an immigrant. Yeah, well, if they’d all been properly vetted that probably wouldn’t have happened,” Clinton admitted.
Then, while representing the party who has made abortion rights their major campaign platform, Clinton wildly claimed, “And America isn’t having enough babies to keep our populations up, so we need immigrants that have been vetted to do work – there wouldn’t be a problem.”
The Trump War Room pounced on Clinton’s comments, posting a video to social media, and wrote, “Bill Clinton says Laken Riley’s death “probably wouldn’t have happened” if Kamala did her job at the border, continues on to imply that we need illegal immigrants for cheap labor. He was supposed to be campaigning FOR Kamala. YIKES.”

Fox News writer David Asman pointed out, “Clinton was trying to make the case that GOP killed a bill that would have increased vetting. But Laken’s alleged killer was encountered by CBP on Sept. 8, 2022 and was paroled and released for further processing. This was more than a year BEFORE the border deal was put up.”
