Former President Donald Trump is speaking at a campaign event in Aurora, Colorado Friday afternoon, at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center.

Aurora made headlines last month when members of the violent Venequalan gang, Tren de Aragua, were caught on camera, armed with rifles and handguns, forcing their way into an apartment complex.

At the rally in Aurora on Friday, Trump is expected to highlight the alarming wave of illegal alien gang violence spreading across the U.S., and is expected to outline “Operation Aurora”, a program at the federal level that would deport illegal alien members of the dangerous transnational Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua.

Speaking in Uniondale, New York two weeks ago, Trump announced he was going to Aurora, and quipped, “You may never see me again, but that’s OK. Got to do what I got to do.”

A press release on Trump’s website Friday includes the following statement:

Kamala Harris’ open border policies have allowed Tren de Aragua, a gang of Venezuelan illegal immigrants, to terrorize Aurora, Colorado.

President Trump will be visiting Aurora today to discuss how he will deport criminal illegal immigrants and make America safe again.

A recent report noted that the “number of Venezuelans coming to the border has skyrocketed from 50,000 in FY 21 to nearly 335,000 in FY 23.” This surge in illegal immigration corresponds with a decline in deportations. Data shows that deportations of convicted criminals have decreased 74% under Border Czar Harris.

These permissive open border policies have allowed Tren de Aragua to flourish. Even CNN reported earlier this year that Tren de Aragua is “infiltrating the US.”

Trump posted a campaign video ad about illegal immigration on social media earlier on Friday, and warned, “AMERICA IS BEING INVADED—END THE OCCUPATION, LIBERATE AMERICA!”

A huge line of people were seen waiting for the rally at 5:00 am Friday, before sunrise.

The line continued to grow…

And grow….

It’s safe to say they’re not all going to get inside:

Trump’s longtime aide Dan Scavino later posted a video with footage of both the crowd inside the rally, and the overflow crowd outside.

Ahead of Trump’s speech, his advisor Stephen Miller took the stage, and blasted the Biden-Harris administration for opening the borders and allowing criminal illegal aliens to flood into the U.S.  Miller was a part of the previous Trump administration, and helped to craft policies to help crack down on illegal immigration.

Trump was scheduled to speak at 1pm MT / 3pm ET. As usual, the event is running behind schedule. Prominently featured on the stage are photos of some Tren de Aragua gang members recently arrested in Aurora, along with the message, “Deport Illegals NOW.”
