From Fox News: CBS News is the latest network under the spotlight as it prepares to host the vice-presidential debate between Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, and Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
The debate on Tuesday, being led by outgoing “CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell and “Face the Nation” moderator Margaret Brennan, will face intense scrutiny, particularly after the fury sparked by ABC News for its partisan handling of the first presidential debate between former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.
The network’s past coverage suggests Vance, like Trump, may enter a one-against-three political showdown.
Perhaps the greatest example of CBS News’ liberal bias was in 2020 when Trump famously sparred with “60 Minutes” veteran Lesley Stahl over the Hunter Biden laptop scandal just days before the election.
Two years later, CBS finally admitted the laptop was real and verified.

The report also recalls that, in September 2023, CBS News was caught editing an unflattering exchange Kamala Harris had with Brennan during an interview.
This summer, just days after Trump was shot at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, O’Donnell literally suggested that Trump’s “rhetoric” might be to blame for the shooting.
Last month, after Trump accused Harris of being a “communist,” Brennan told her viewers that Trump’s comments was “a new line of false attack on Vice President Harris.”
Brennen also go snippy with JD Vance in an interview this summer.

Over the weekend, CBS News made sure to report about Kamala Harris flying a banner over Saturday night’s Alabama-Georgia football game, where Trump was attending. The message claimed he’s “Punting on 2nd Debate.”
Radio host Joe Concha wrote, “CBS News — which hosts the VP debate on Tuesday — has not devoted one second of its evening newscast to the damning and disturbing report that 30,000 murderers & rapists here illegally were captured and released into the country. But they’re all over a troll banner by Kamala!”
